My Fridgedair ice maker trough continually turns into a river of ice. Any ideas?
The water seems to be freezing from the top down until it is completely frozen down to the ice tray. After I defrost it happens again the next day or so.
Possibly the solenoid water valve. get the model number and make of the refer from inside of one of the doors and call an appliance repair shop that sells parts to get the part. you can also go to an appliance repair web-site for guidance on how tro do it. its not that hard but can seem insurmountable if you have no tools or experince. Try something like appliancerepair.com and see what you get. chill out.
