More Eggs Free Post At Bottom Of The Page
I need some egg drop ideas.?
If anyone could post any ideas on what I should do for an egg drop experiment, feel free to throw them out there. Here are the rules:
1. No more than 1 inch-thick of padding around the egg itself. (boxes are fine.)
2. No more than 6 inches-thick of padding on the ground where we will be conducting the experiment.
3. Must be free-falling.
We will be dropping the eggs off of the high school roof.

When we did the egg drop our rig was a nest of pipe cleaners around the egg as a cage, then we put the cage in a small peanut butter jar and filled the jar with cooking oil. With the lid on tight the oil was incompressible and the pipe cleaners kept the egg from striking the bottom of the plastic jar on impact. Make sure you drop the jar bottom first! A side or a top impact usually breaks the egg.
