Is my neighbor's bird feeder filled with poison?

When I was 13, I found a baby dove being attacked by its mother, so I rescued it. It became strong and began to learn to fly. I named her Iggy, and she still lives in a tree next to my house. The tree is really big, and it hangs over our neighbor's driveway. Iggy poops on their cars ...(Lol i dont like them so it is a lol) My neighbor is saying he will kill her, and she has a nest of chicks right now. If he kills her, her chicks will die. He said he was going to shoot her, but recently i saw a bird feeder hung on Iggy's tree. It was full or red liquid. Is it poison? I have told my neighbor that she was my bird, but he said "Then make it stop crapping on my car or i will knock that thing down to hello"
Also, before anyone accuses me of letting her out, she was born outside and she is a wild animal but its funny because when i walk outside she flys down and lands on my head.

If it's a mourning dove (or any other type of dove) it generally won't drink from a bird feeder if that's what this liquid is in. However it may be an innocent hummingbird feeder, you should be able to tell by looking at it. The dove would drink out of a bird bath & I suppose he could put poison in the water of a bird bath. Of course he would end up poisoning many other birds and possibly people's pets---my neighbors cat drinks fr my bird baths. If you live in the USA it would be against state & federal laws for this man to poison any native bird w/o getting a special permit after proving he had cause for destroying the animal. There is also a legal hunting season for mourning doves but if you live in a town or suburban development hunting usually isn't allowed. If you aren't finding dead birds around then this red liquid you see isn't poison. If you find any dead birds pick them up, place in plastic bags & keep in the fridge (not the freezer) until you can give them to authorities along w whatever you think the poison was in.

Bird droppings will cause damage to a car's paint so I can understand why a person might be bothered by it. Personally it's never bothered me & most people who have expensive or special paint jobs cover their cars or keep them in a garage. Try to be a good neighbor & explain to this man (maybe his entire family if he has kids) that the bird is important to you. Some car washes offer gift certificates, get him one. Offer to let him use your driveway or parking space. A good wax job can add a layer of protection to his paint's finish. I hope this works out. This guy is making a mountain out of a mole-hill but you should try to win him over. Best of luck.
